How to Plan for a Chute in Your Build

Here are a few tips to discuss with your architect or contractor before the show:

1. Locate your “drop zone” — ideally on each bedroom level near bathrooms or closets.

2. Plan vertical alignment — straight vertical runs are easiest; slight offsets are possible.

3. Allow fire‑compartment space — we’ll advise where fire rated boxing and sealing are needed.

4. Decide end point layout — chute can feed into a hidden cupboard, basket station, or utility room wall.

5. Consider vacuum assist (Laundry Jet) — for homes where a gravity drop is impractical, our vacuum‑powered system may be viable.
